Welcome to my website. In addition to providing training to other counselors,
social workers, and family therapists, I offer psychotherapy to families, couples,
individuals and groups in my private practice, located in Montclair, NJ.
My Philosophy
I believe that most problems arise out of difficulties we encounter between
ourselves and our environment. These difficulties most often arise during
transitions. Sometimes this means that we are disappointed by loved ones or
what life has handed us. Sometimes it means that we have suffered loss or
multiple losses. Sometimes it means that we feel responsible for things we can’t fix.
I help my clients to understand the disconnect between what they want, and
where they find themselves in their lives at the moment. Then I work to empower
them to discover new options or to come to terms with what cannot be changed. I
believe that everyone has undiscovered strengths that can be tapped into. My
job is to help my clients find these buried or forgotten treasures so they can find
more gratification in life.
How I Work
I use a variety of experiential techniques, some coming from psychodrama, some
coming from yoga, some coming from hypnotherapy. Each technique is tailor-
made to the client(s) and the situation.
