Advanced Supervision Group
This group is for therapists with a minimum of 5 years experience. The group focuses on how to incorporate systemic thinking and action methods into your work.
Systemic thinking helps you understand the connection between the individual, family, and community. It is nearly impossible to change an individual if you don’t understand and acknowledge the system in which that individual is embedded. This is especially true if you work with children and/or adolescents and marginalized populations.
Action methods help to deepen your work by working in the here and now and by adding the dimension of the body, which is often overlooked in talk therapy. Working in the here and now adds intensity to our work. When we add action to talk it can deepen our clients’ experience of healing. Meets every other week Thursday mornings at 9:00.
