Supervision Modalities

Supervision is offered in the following ways:

One-on-one Supervision/Consultation

Meetings are for one hour online, or in person if you are fully vaccinated, in Montclair, NJ. We can meet one time only, weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly.  If we are meeting in person, you may bring in videotaped sessions for review and case

presentation (videotapes must be accompanied by a release, signed by your client).  Genograms and one-on-one role play

are also available to supervisees to explore client/patient issues.  For more information regarding available times,

location and fees, contact Paula Ochs.

Groups

Supervision in a group can help you improve your skills by practicing interventions with other group members via role

play, giving you a more realistic experience of working with individual clients, couples, and families.  Group supervision

also provides you with a rich experience because it offers different points of view and a network of peer support.

I offer two levels of groups. One for less experienced clinicians with up to 4-5 years experience and an advanced group.

  • Beginner to intermediate:  This group is geared toward more junior clinicians who wish to get their clinical license (LCSW,
LPC) or who have been practicing independently for a few years.  Clinicians with a masters in counseling and less
experienced MFT's are also welcome.  This group meets Wednesday mornings.

  • Advanced: This group is for more experienced clinicians who are interested in learning how to incorporate systemic thinking and action methods into their work. This group meets Thursday mornings.

See Schedule for times groups are offered.

Please contact Paula Ochs for details and to arrange for a free one-half hour consultation.
